9/7/09 - what's new
i've survived my first two days of teaching french and spanish at my new school. i seem to have only one standout problem kid, and he seemed fairly amenable to correction, so i don't think he'll be too much trouble. i do, however, have a study hall in the cafeteria which as of friday had 97 kids assigned to it. half of those kids are seniors, so they'll ask to go elsewhere, but i don't know how i'm supposed to keep another 50 kids seated, quiet and on task all by myself. we'll see how it goes. should be interesting!
leaves are starting to turn colours, which means snow can't be far behind. i'm ready.
